How to Download Facebook Videos, Reels, and Albums in 2026

Facebook hosts a massive amount of video content — from regular video posts and Reels to live broadcast replays and multi-photo albums. The Facebook app itself only lets you save videos to a Facebook-internal "Saved Items" list, not to your phone's Camera Roll or PC's Downloads folder. To get the actual MP4 or photos onto your device, you need a third-party tool. This guide covers the full workflow with DropZap, including the Facebook-specific quirks (private groups, login walls, photo albums) that trip up most other downloaders.

Three Facebook content types and how DropZap handles each

• Regular video posts. Standard videos uploaded to a Page, profile, or group. DropZap returns them as MP4 in HD when available.

This isn't a tool limitation; private-group content requires authenticated access through Facebook's API, which third-party tools can't legitimately have.

The only ways to save private-group videos:
